Safari Connector: Depending on your settings Safari may not automatically open the file.You will now see Zotero capture icons in the address bar.Then click Install when Chrome asks if you want to install. Chrome Connector: A box will appear in the lower right hand corner of the browser asking if you want to continue.Links to install the browser connectors are found just beside the Standalone download links. Zotero Standalone comes with word processor plugins, so you will not need to install these. Click on the link for your operating system and follow standard procedures for installing software on your computer. To install the Zotero Standalone software, visit the Zotero download page.The plugins are bundled with the software download. You do not have to install the word processor plugins with Zotero Standalone. (If you don't, you will just be redirected to Zotero's website.) Then go to the 'edit' menu in your Zotero app (NOTE- may appear in the 'Zotero' menu for Mac users), go into the Preferences menu, select the 'Sync' menu, type in your username and password, and click 'set up syncing' so that your library will automatically sync. Zotero is much better at saving web content than other bibliographic tools. The Connector will now add the citation and pdf (when available) to your online Zotero library.
